Supporting the best
Our athlete roster is proud to
support and promote the
Combat Sports Clinic brand
“Of all the people I’ve ever been to [Rosi is] by far the most qualified; not only with her qualifications but with her experience as well…”
Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy needs little introduction. Dan is a pioneer of Mixed Martial Arts and was the first Briton to fight for a UFC title when he faced the legendary Georges St. Pierre in 2010. (Just) outside of the cage Dan is also a colour commentator and analyst for UFC Fight Night and Cage Warriors, and runs his own merchandising line at www.fullreptilecollective.co.uk. He also produces a regular podcast at http://www.fightdisciples.com/category/full-reptile-radio/
Dan is our newest addition to our Sponsored Athletes roster; although having not fought in the UFC since 2012 Dan never officially retired and is (as of October 2018) plotting a comeback to the sport.
“When I saw Rosi – I can only descirbe her as a sorceress. She took be from bedridden…to fighting, within six months.”
Michael “2 Gunnz” Younis is a professional Mixed Martial Artist (2-0) from Birmingham UK. Younis had an illustrious amateur career before turning pro in 2018, and turned to Combat Sports Clinic when he suffered a serious neck injury in March 2018. We were able to get Michael back to training in three months and back in the cage in six, for him to win on his professional debut!
Michael now flies the Combat Sports Clinic flag for us in his MMA and BJJ journeys throughout Europe.
“I’ve known Rosi a long time…and she was my first choice, obviously, because of her combat background. Having been a high-level grappler herself…she totally understands my background.”
Sophie Cox is a GB Judo Olympian and World Judo Championship medalist in 2010. Cox now coaches judo, judo for BJJ and no gi judo as well as training in and competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Sophie travels all over the UK and Europe to teach and coach but is mostly based in the North West, Rochdale, Stockport, Manchester and Kendal.
“If I explain to Rosi I’ve done *this* in a certain jiu-jitsu position, she’ll understand…because she’s had that experience in the sport.”
Tom Breese is a professional (12-1) Mixed Martial Artist from Birmingham who is currently making an impact in the UFC’s Middleweight division. He’s also one of the lead coaches at Renegade Fight Team.
Tom has been coming to see us for several months to keep him in prime condition for his professional bouts in the UFC and his martial arts journey generally.
“Meatball” Molly McCann is a professional Mixed Martial Artist training out of Next Generation MMA in Liverpool. She and Rosi have long been sparring partners, so it made perfect sense for Molly to join the CSC Sponsored Athlete roster in preparation for her UFC career.
“Rosi is very professional and calming, she’s also extremely knowledgeable and it is evident she loves her job and keeps up to date with her CPD. I also highly value being able to ask her questions and getting explanations as to why she is doing what she’s doing!”
Gina “Triple G” Hopkins is one of our sponsored athletes. She’s won medals in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Strongman events. She has a Masters’ degree in Sport and Exercise Science, and she runs her own company.
Gina also has a condition called Dystonia. For anyone who thinks they can’t do martial arts, but would like to give it a try – Gina is the ideal person to talk to. You can get in touch with her via her website, or on Facebook @AdaptiveMA.
“After three or four months with Rosi I feel like I’m making genuine progress…everyone else I saw, it felt like they were easing the pain but not really solving the problem.”
Tom Caughey is a BJJ black belt and an active competitor on the international BJJ circuit; for a full list of his competition achievements click the link below – there are too many to list here! He trains and coaches at Team Renegade in Kings Heath, Birmingham.
